Tactical measures are put to use in order to enhance its climate resilience, inclusion and attractiveness. Until now, 98% of the 1650m² square was sealed with asphalt with a single tree providing shade. By means of short-term and participatory interventions, the project aims to set in motion a sustainable transformation of the schoolyard and beyond.

Location: Trakai, Lithuania
This revitalization project transforms an existing educational facility by separating the art and music schools into distinct wings. The new addition will accommodate the art school, while the refurbished older structure will house the music school. The ground floor includes public spaces like an exhibition hall and concert venue, with a separate workshop area accessible to all. The design, inspired by traditional Karaimu houses and utilizing deconstructivism, integrates these functions under one roof while enhancing visual connections to the water and preserving the historical facade. A glass wall replaces part of the old facade, blending historical preservation with modern functionality and aligning the entrance with the restored street and lake.
